Subaccounts

The Subaccounts tab gives you an overview of subaccounts associated with your account, along with access to associated configuration for each. To access your Subaccounts page:

  1. Ensure that you are logged into your Botguard account.
  2. In the BotGuard user interface (UI), click Account from the main navigation menu bar. ../../img/subaccounts-01.png
  3. From the sub-menu, click Subaccounts.
  4. Referring to the preceding screenshot, familiarise yourself with the page layout:

    Annotation Description
    a This number represents the number of subaccounts in your BotGuard account.
    b This table displays all subaccounts associated with you user account, providing basic details and a link to SETTINGS for each.
    c The Quick Search field enables you to quickly search the table (b) for a particular subaccount. This is particularly useful for accounts with multiple subaccounts.
    d This selection enables you to add another subaccount to your account.

Add a Subaccount

You can easily add a subaccount in your account, by performing the following actions:

  1. Ensure that you are logged into your Botguard account.
  2. In the BotGuard user interface (UI), click Account from the main navigation menu bar. ../../img/subaccounts-06.png
  3. From the sub-menu, click Subaccounts.
  4. In the Add a Subaccount section, type the email address of the intended owner/administrator of the subaccount.
  5. Type a password into the PASSWORD field.
  6. Optionally, place a check into the Send an email invite to the user with the log in credentials checkbox- This informs the intended subaccount owner/administrator of their login credentials.
  7. Click ADD to complete adding the subaccount.

Enable/disable a Subaccount

You can easily enable or disable any subaccount in your account, by performing the following actions:

  1. Ensure that you are logged into your Botguard account.
  2. In the BotGuard user interface (UI), click Account from the main navigation menu bar. ../../img/subaccounts-02.png
  3. From the sub-menu, click Subaccounts.
  4. For the Enabled toggle switch associated with the subaccount that you wish to delete, set it to the OFF position. This instantly disables the subaccount.
  5. To reverse this request at any time and enable the subaccount again, reset the Enabled toggle switch to the ON position.

Delete a Subaccount

To delete any subaccount from your account, perform the following actions:

  1. Ensure that you are logged into your Botguard account.
  2. In the BotGuard user interface (UI), click Account from the main navigation menu bar. ../../img/subaccounts-03.png
  3. From the sub-menu, click Subaccounts.
  4. Locate a subaccount to delete, using the Quick Search field to help, if necessary.
  5. Click the bin/trash icon beside the subaccount that you wish to delete.
  6. To confirm deletion, click OK on the prompt that displays. ../../img/subaccounts-04.png

Subaccount Settings

For each subaccount, you can access SETTINGS, which enables some basic subaccount configurations. To access and configure SETTINGS for a subaccount:

  1. Ensure that you are logged into your Botguard account.
  2. In the BotGuard user interface (UI), click Account from the main navigation menu bar. ../../img/subaccounts-05.png
  3. From the sub-menu, click Subaccounts.
  4. Locate the subaccount that you wish to configure or view more information about, using the Quick Search field to help, if necessary.
  5. Click the SETTINGS button beside the subaccount that you wish to configure or view more information about.
  6. Optionally, make changes to any of the following fields:
    1. In the EMAIL ADDRESS field, you can change the email address for the subaccount owner/adminsistrator.
    2. In the FIRST NAME field, enter or change the first name of the subaccount owner/adminsistrator.
    3. In the LAST NAME field, enter or change the last name of the subaccount owner/adminsistrator.
    4. In the PASSWORD field, enter a new password.
    5. For the checkbox options, optionally, place a check in any or all checkboxes.
      • Send an email invite to the user with the log in credentials - This can be selected if a user needs a reminder of their login credentials.
      • Invalidate user password - If a password has been compromised, it can be invalidated with this option.
      • Invalidate user API key - If an API key has been compromised, it can be invalidated with this option.
  7. Click SUBMIT to apply any changes made in SETTINGS.
